I think it's very important to find the little things in our daily life that makes us happy. Life is made up of little things that one day you'll look back and realize they were the greatest things in your life !! Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in our hearts ❤️

A hug in a mug

A beautiful aromatic smell... filled with delicious taste of sweetness... & caffeine which boosts up your morning. The first sip of coffee in the morning just makes all my grumpiness fly away. There's nothing makes your morning feel good without coffee. I bet coffee is your best morning partner for all the coffee lovers out there.

Love in envelopes

With the rise of digital communication, getting a fresh batch of handwritten cards or letters is like a little basket of gold which brighten our day even more extra. Receiving those special letters and cards from postman makes me smile as bright as the sun. Those words written with their own hands replicates their own pure feelings and efforts to make us happy. You smile softly because those letters & cards tells you one thing for sure : No matter who are them, those are the people loves me, loves to see and keep me happy.

Bake it right

Baking is fun till you see the final output. But when you got to see the cakes or biscuits turn out well as you expected to be is the most happiest moment in your life. You'll be smiling the whole day as you will feel like today is your lucky day. Another happiest moment is when someone compliments you saying "wow ithu supera iruku ma" (It's delicious). You would feel like you are on top of the world.

When a cold moon kiss a hot sun

You are having a tiring day where the sun is so hot that you are soaking wet in sweat with the T-shirt you're wearing gets wet and that dripping sweat smell which makes you feel like , "aiyoo mudileda saamy" (Oh my god I can't handle this anymore). At that time nothing says refreshing better than a soaking wet can of 100 Plus or a wet frosty mug of cold beer from the icy depths of a cooler or from the cold snowy fridge. or even a glass of ice - cold water feels like heaven. It's a chilly bliss moment when you are having cold drink on a really hot day. I would say there's nothing compatible than that feeling you get on that hot sunny day.

What else could bring back all the old sweet memories you had in your childhood other than the old, classic board games? For those 70s, 80s, 90s peeps, still remember Scrabbles, Snakes and Ladder, Carom board, Ludo, Monopoly, Uno... They were the games we played with full of fun and joy without any worry. Despite there's a lot of video games updated today, nothing can beat the memories we had during those times we had in childhood.

When that one social event or one family function or one important meeting in your office or one college class you've planning not to go, got canceled all of a sudden. I would feel sooooo much happier than I would be. I'm very sure I would feel 'It's the luckiest day' of my life.

Are you back home safe? 

Only those who care about us would call or text us asking whether we reached back home safely making sure we are always safe and happy. After those lazy hazy nights, rushing Monday evenings, usual weekends after shopping, you would receive a call from your parents or loved ones concerning about your safety. "Veetukku poitiya? Reach pannitiya? Ellam ok thaane? " (Are you back home safely?). These are the simple words reminding us that those are pure connection or the strongest bond in your life ever !!

Imagine you are having a dinner party tonight but as usual it's your stressful working day today. So after your work, you came back home, took a quick bath, dress up, a little bit of touch ups with your lipstick and eyeliner and started doing some arrangements while welcoming all your guests. And then someone out from nowhere came towards you and said "Ninge rumbe alagha irukinge. Inthe sattai rumbe alagha iruku ungelukku" (You are looking very beautiful today. The dress suits you well).. there you go all your tiredness would vanish and disappear just in few seconds. You would smile bright and feel more beautiful about you.

Ilaiyaraja love notes & AR Rahman melodic songs stay in our hearts whose lyrics are sure to strike the chords of our souls. There's nothing else can make you smile when it feels like the lyrics to the songs you're listening to were written just for you. During those quiet nights alone, it makes you happy when you listen to Ilaiyaraja's Thendral Vanthu Theendum Pothu enna vannamo manasule song. During those terrible traffic jam evenings, AR Rahman's Mukkala Mukkabula song would make you relaxed and gives you a broad smile on your face. As a 90's kid, I like to listen those beautiful songs all time because those are the songs which makes you feel better and very happy.

Having a solo dance party in your house or room would be the perfect thing to do when nobody's in house. Had a break up? In a hot temper? Bad day? Fight over someone? or it's just an ordinary day.. no problem. Lock the door, shutter those curtains and crank the kuttu song (tamil folk song) and dance, baby.  Yes, we've all been home alone and sometimes it's fun to spin you head into the moment and enjoy your life.

After a long day of painful slave labor or a formal presentation day in college, it just feels like a sweet release when you taking off your high heels giving your tired, aching soles a soothing break. "Appaadaaa" (Thank god) ...  That's make me feel happy though.

How do you get rid of the hiccups? Shock treatment? Drinking water? Hold your breath? Haha I guess we all have done them. You think they're gone, but they're not, and then you think they're gone again, but then they're actually not again, and then you think they're really gone for sure this time. and then they actually are. And in that moment, you will be a having a giant swooshing sensation of sweet relief once it stopped isn't it! That's what happiness looks like for me.

Big giant morning stretches

Waking up in the morning, cracking up that back with giant stretches and weird gorilla jungle noises, feels good. We all have our own styles, like The Starfish, you lie on bed, stretch your arms up to the sides and your legs down and out, The Insane Wiggle, twisting and turning in twisted blankets or squeeze your face into your pillow, pull your legs into your chest or just let out some long deep grunts to feel that stretchy buzz in your back, The Yogi Master, doing the real stretches, and there's The Cobra, stretching spine out by leaning up like cobra. No matter what's your style is, it is sure feels great to stretch that spine and start your day. Awesome !!

Any movie you can't stop watching whenever you see it on TV? yeah there's a lot of course.. No matter how many times you've seen it, you won't feel fed up or bored, you'll be completely sucked into the movie like you've never watched it before. Watching your glue movie is like hanging out with an old friend who pops by for an unexpected visit. Those movies hold a special place in our hearts which are unforgettable so why worry, just enjoy them. They'll be yours forever !

Ladies, I can feel those burns since you're sliding a razor up and down your legs all the time sounds like less fun. And for guys, I understand wearing those shaving form and shaving continuously for six months feels tired as those hairs grow back very fast the whole time. No worries. Have a break from shaving. Let us escape temporarily from this civilized social norms. Enjoy a cozy weekend. Stop taking things too seriously. Smile and enjoy those little moments of being your hairy self. Those little things exactly what shape my happiness.

It's 12pm noon. Office lunch break. You need to have lunch. You took your car and go to the nearby food court. As you're nearing the food court, you found the perfect parking spot which is just in front of the food court. You got it!! Well there you go, there's a bright smile on your face. Now you can have your lunch peacefully with no hurry.

It's urgent! You need to pee but there's no washrooms around!! You are stuck in traffic jam. There's an important meeting you need to attend. You need to be there on time. BUT you need to pee. Feel that rush? What you want to do? You Just Want To Pee.. And then luckily, It's your lucky day. The cars are moving. The meeting got postponed for 1 hour. And finally u got to see a restroom nearby. Woaahhh.. Thank god.. You will be smiling like you are in the top of heaven. Got into the washroom & there you are.. feeling relieve and happy.

Heard of Open Door people? They're one hold up the elevator door just for you and kindly asking with a innocent smile, "Going up?".  And then we'll be smiling and thank you for holding the lift & share the lift. A little bit of kindness leads you to be happy.

Long.. but.. comfortable

We can only feel these long but comfortable silences with someone who are really really close with us. 

"Want anything to eat pizza?" "No I'll just have a bread." ............   "Mmm.. do you want to turn on the air - conditioning?" "No, no, I'm good la" ........ and the place would be so quiet as you both got into a fight but only you both knew how comfortable those silences is. You both could be just relaxing on the couch or just doing some housework or one scrolling their social media and one reading their favorite novel.. You won't be feeling discomfort on the silence but feel happy about it. That bond is irreplaceable.

Ponytail out

Taking your ponytail out is the comfy feeling equivalent of taking your bra off, putting on your pajamas, or twisting and turning all your sheets and blankets in the middle of night until you get it just right. After a whole day roaming around with those ponytail up and then taking your ponytail out at the end of the day. Ladiesss.... feel it? That's a good happy feel.

Remember the game you used to play during your childhood.. well.. even now... simple but yet makes you happy. Grab a paper, make it into a ball, aim hands to the skies, aim towards the rubbish bin and throw into it. Still remember how you feel when you shouted GOALLL!!!!

Why armrest?

You are buying tickets for your favorite movie, once got into the movie theater, u managed to find your seat number, the seats are perfectly tall, u sat down and saw the screens were bigger, cushions were so comfy and soft, u saw cup holders beside the seat. Is it perfect enough?? NO... Yenge daa armrest?? Ippe naa kaiye yenge da veppen? (where's the armrest? where am I suppose to put my arms?) But in contrast u going to another movie theater with the perfect seats and also the armrest which can be moved up and down.. You would be so happy sitting back, relax and enjoy the nice quiet movie. That's happiness ya.

Went to pick up some post letters from the postman? You just going to notice a little fellow outside of your house, wagging its tail fast, seeing you for the 167th time like seeing you for the 1st time excitedlyy.. waiting for you to say "good boy." Craving for your touch. Cannot wait to sit beside you, lick you, lie on you. Dogs. The only creature which loves us more than themselves. That's what happiness looks like for me.

Those who were there to annoy you during family functions with silly jokes, tell you funny stories to entertain you, those who gives you silly nicknames, those who knew about your deep secrets, first friend's name from kindergarten.. who are they? They are your cousins. Those are the people who never judge you for who you are because they love to spend time together with you rather than judging your flaws. Age doesn't matter as only their loving bonding matter the most. The time spending with my cousins are the most happiest moment in my life.

(Food is the most important thing for me)

Food is a necessity but that food can also make some happy. When the cravings are satisfied , you will be very happy like there's no tomorrow. Imagine you are craving for Ramlee burger at 2am in the midnight. There's no any shops opened at that time but you never gave up. tried your best to drive through your neighborhood and finally...... found one burger shop at the corner of the shop lot. You parked your car, went there asked "Abang ada burger x?" (Brother, do you have burger over here) "Ada bang. Nak yang mana ek?" (Yes we have, brother. Which one do you want to have) There will be a wide smile on your face and you'll be listing out your order for Ramlee burger special with extra chicken. That feels heaven. Isn't it!

I still remember getting free samples, like, drinks, soups, foods and even juice at the supermarkets. For them, it's a way of promoting their business items but for us, it would be a way of trying out free items. Hehehe.. Those free yogurt drink in a small cup do make me happy. Hot Maggie noodles soup in a small plastic bowl given to try out for free brings a bright smile on my face. Sometimes, our siblings who got to try out the free coffee, would make sure we also got to try them. So, they would asked us to go to the exact area where the free coffee were given. It's freee and that's make me happy.

Squished - up balls of bread? Liquid medicines? Coco Crunch? 1 spoon of Milo from can? The flood of memories comes shooting back when you eat those food you loved eating as a kid. You're suddenly transported back to the kitchen you used to grew up in. It's crazy how those things make you smile back wide. Let's be honest, the foods you loved slowly drift away and disappear. But that's why it's important to treasure those adult glimpses into your childhood tastes. Those are happiness.

What's 'Photosynthesis'?

Remember your first experiment day in your science class where everyone of you did some dirty jobs : putting soil inside a flower plant pot, planting seeds inside in. Tapping those soil on those seeds and wait for the result every single day. You took care of the flower plant just like it's a money tree. Waiting ... waiting... waiting.. & one day when you noticed there's a small stem grow.. You feel happy about it as if you did something big !! You will be showing off around the school and talking about it again and again with your family once back home. Little yet precious.

Got C for Maths? 40% for class test? I don't like calculations!! But remember that time when you were able to solve the simple additional equation where your little sister asked help for. You teach her how to calculate that equation with your hands. "10 put it in your head. Take 2 in your fingers and count them. After 10? 11,12. There you go 12 is the answer. Good girl" and then you will smile back to her when u received that "Thank you so much" from her. You will feel happy that you just teach her how to do it and but for her, you're a superhero in mathematics. Obviously, that's make me happy.

Old stuffs

While cleaning the room, there's always some old stuffs from your childhood appear right in front of your face like 'magic'. Old toys, old photos, old dress, old shoe, old diary.. also the old letter which was given by your old school long lost friend.. Those remind us how precious they really are in our life. Once you saw those old stuffs, automatically there will be a little smile appear on your face. Those memories flash back. It feels like yesterday but it has been already 10 years has passed so fast.

I am hearing this song for the third time in your car! 🤣🤣 That's what happen when you are travelling with a friend who loves that one song aloooottt... for you, it's annoying. But for him, trust me, it's Heaven. That song means so much for him that he will put it in the repeat mode. That's what happiness looks like.

You know that you experience this type of feeling whenever you receive text from your loved one or by meeting them, spending precious time with them. Just to ask you how you have been all the day , what you did, sharing opinion together, talking about future goals, cracking lame jokes hahaha you know just simple little things like this make your day soo well. Whenever you feel down or hurt this loved one will show up n cheer you up. We all need someone in our life to encourage us, to believe in us, making our life way more meaningful. They are my good vibes though. It reminds me everyday that I have this person to be with me in my entire journey of life. Just a thought of this will put a bright smile on my face. I hope that it's not only me but everyone does it. I would say my loved one is the little thing in my life which makes me happy and feel soo gifted till now. They just need to be appreciated. A route in between the trees

Have you ever got those wonderful feeling, one route which covered with beautiful trees on your left and right? It's like you've been welcoming by those trees to their places. It's like you're the princess of a tiny world and they are the citizens of that tiny world & they are so happy that you are there to meet them as they slowly wave at you, dance for you and cheer you up. I hope I'm not the only one feel happy about it!! That route actually makes me happy.

Rain ❤️ How do I start? Hmm.. It's cold outside but warm inside. You feel like it's blessing you. You feel like it's protecting you. You feel like it's dancing with you. You feel like it's cheering up you. And that smell of the ground, Honestly rain best goes with hot drinks, like hot coffee, mocha, cappuccino and of course 'Masala Chai'. Big Screen

Anything play in big screens are more happening to see rather than small screens in your regular TV at home. Movies, Football match, Wedding photos, Couple videos and Drama series. I love watching football matches in the big screens in 'Kedai Mamak' (Mamak restaurant) than watching in home alone. Those GOALS are not only goal for me but its a goal for all of us over there. Despite different races, culture or ethnics, we will shout together GOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL !!! That's what happiness for me.

Current trend: Free Wifi. That word honestly made some of us happy. Internet plays a very important role in our daily life. Download movies, Doing research for assignment, Playing songs, Browsing social media, and also video call with family members. We need Internet. Yeah and Free Wifi saves our day !

Lovely Scent

Certain perfume smell really make us feel pleasant. Some scents are horrible but some certainly have the power to attract us. Candle scents, like Lavender, Rose & Coconut are my favorites. I really love those scents which make me feel happy. Sometimes it reminds us some people who have crossed our lives in the past. Sometimes it reminds us of some memories back then. Those lovely scents honestly put a wide smile on my face.

Well, that songs really put a smile on my face when it plays in Now..
